Waves and Sky stems from my deeply rooted connection with the sea and the sky, since I lived in New England almost my entire life.  In 2017 my husband and I relocated to beautiful Savannah, Georgia.  While I do miss New England at times, I believe still living close to the sea has provided comfort and familiarity for me in the Southeast.

 

The images were taken on location at Tybee Island and Amelia Island over the last five years.  The mediums used to create these pieces involved photos shot on location, nautical maps of the islands, and encaustic medium.
