My latest collection is inspired by the water gardens of Giverny and the Biltmore Estate—places whose beauty is inseparable from their rich histories. I’m drawn not only to their visual poetry, but also to the stories behind their design and to the people who continue to tend them, keeping these living environments vibrant for future generations.

In this body of work, I combine cyanotype with water-based painting media to bridge the past and the present. Cyanotype—one of the earliest photographic processes—connects me to history through its elemental dependence on light and time. Layering it with fluid, contemporary water-based paints allows me to respond in the moment, adding gesture, color, and emotional resonance. Together, these mediums create a conversation between what is preserved, what is rediscovered, and what is reimagined.

The colors and forms throughout the collection echo the spirit of spring, a season of renewal and rebirth. As the world comes alive again, I’m inspired to honor the beauty that rises around us—and to recognize those who safeguard it so that others may experience it as I do today.
