In the autumn of 2023, I found myself longing for the rich tapestry of New England's four seasons, a longing that inspired this exhibit. From my current home in the South, I sought to reconnect with those vibrant cycles of nature, using the flora available to me while invoking the hues and feelings of the New England seasons.

Each season represents a unique chapter in nature’s story. Spring embodies rebirth, filled with budding flowers and vivid greens that signal new beginnings. Summer brings a lush abundance, with fully formed leaves creating a canopy over sun-soaked days by the shore. Fall celebrates the culmination of growth, showcasing a breathtaking array of reds, oranges, and yellows as trees prepare for winter's embrace. Finally, Winter introduces a serene stillness, where the deep greens of evergreens contrast with the first snowfall, reminding us of the cycles of rest and renewal.

Through my art, I aim to celebrate the beauty of these transitions while highlighting the fragility of our natural world. Using paper—a delicate substrate—I create works that echo the vulnerability of nature itself. In this exhibit, I invite you to reflect on the interconnectedness of our environment and our responsibility to protect it. As we confront the pressing challenges of climate change, it is essential to remember that every action counts.

Join me in this journey through the seasons, and let us find joy in nature’s beauty while acknowledging our role in its preservation.
