Only recently have I begun to understand that the plants I choose are not selected at random. As I've grown both as an artist and through life's experiences, I've come to recognize that each botanical form is rooted in a memory, a place, or a moment that has quietly shaped who I am.
This collection explores the plants that have surrounded me throughout my life. Drawn from present-day observations and memories of places that have shaped me, each plant represents more than its physical presence. Together, these works reflect the environments I have called home, the landscapes I have explored, and the enduring connection between nature, memory, and place.
By selecting plants from meaningful environments, I weave together past and present, creating visual narratives that honor both the beauty of the natural world and the memories rooted within it. Through this process, I have come to see these plants not simply as subjects, but as quiet witnesses to a life lived—echoes of place carrying stories that continue to unfold.
